AVI30316 Certificate III in Aviation (Remote Pilot – Visual Line of Sight)

Our Certificate III in Aviation (Remote Pilot – Visual Line of Sight) is the highest qualification available for those who wish to develop industry leading skills within the sub 7kg multirotor remotely piloted aircraft system (RPAS) industry. Along with achieving your Certificate III qualification in RPAS, you will also obtain two Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) licensed outcomes – a Remote Pilot License and an Aeronautical Radio Operators Certificate.

Our students graduate with a comprehensive understanding of the RPAS industry and a clear strategy for how to progress their career. Professional training with UAVAIR is the only course approved by both the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) and the Australian Quality Training Framework.

QUALIFICATION OUTCOMES :

AVI30316 Certificate III in Aviation (Remote Pilot – Visual Line of Sight)

Students will also achieve the following CASA licensed outcomes:

  • Remote Pilots Licence (RePL) – Sub 7kg multirotor.
  • Aeronautical Radio Operators Certificate

DELIVERY 

  • Online study
  • 7 days on campus
  • 5 hours instructed piloting of a RPAS

DURATION 

  • Classroom: 7 sessions of 8.5 hours each over 7 days – Total 59.5 hours
    Flight Log Book – Minimum of 5 logged flying hours for CASA Licensing
    Training includes Aeronautical Radio Operator Certificate (AROC) and Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) licensing testing.
  • Self-Paced: 40.25 hours per week, (full time study for 2 weeks prior to face to face training) – Total of 80.5 hours
    Flight Log Book – Minimum 2 logged flying hours
  • Total: 142 hours

PRICE

  • $3995 (including licence fee from CASA)
  • Administration Fee:
    – A non-refundable Administration Fee of $200 is to be paid upon enrolment to secure your position on the course.
    – A $500 deposit, is required to be paid upon commencement, (2 weeks prior to classroom training) with the remaining balance $3,295 due 7 days before attending face to face training.

Selection Criteria

Reading and writing – a learner will be able to read, comprehend and write a range of texts within a variety of contexts.

Oral communication – a learner will be able to use and respond to spoken language including some unfamiliar material within a variety of contexts.

Numeracy and mathematics – a learner will be able to recognise and use a variety of conventions and symbolism of formal mathematics.

Operational flight crew are to satisfy General and Aviation English Language Proficiency (GELP) requirements as directed by aviation regulatory authorities.

Candidates should check with the CASA or Defence aviation for specific requirements. (Evidence may include: English language proficiency such as IELTS Level 6 or have worked in Australia for at least 3 years and have a statutory declaration from the employer)

  • Completion of Year 10,11,12 or equivalent
  • Must be over the age of 16 years
  • Proof of ID – 100 points- Birth certificate/Passport, Driver’s License, Medicare card
  • CASA-ARN-Aviation Reference Number
